NASA Astronaut John D. Olivas (“Danny”) will be visiting Irvine Electronics, Inc., a local contract manufacturer, on August 16th at 10:00 a.m.

IEI IS AS9100!!!!
Congratulations! Irvine Electronics is now certified to aerospace standard AS9100 by QMI!!
In an effort to better serve our aerospace and military customers, IEI made the move to full AS9100 certification in February 2007.

IEI IS CHANGING TO A 4/10 WORKWEEK!!
Irvine Electronics will be changing to a 4 day work week effective March 26th 2007, we will be working Monday thru Thursday and closed on Fridays.

Irvine Electronics is in the News
Irvine Electronics was featured in the business section of the Irvine World News! Founders Onnig and Jane Zerounian were interviewed by reporter Debbie L. Sklar, who then went on a tour of the facility. The article addressed the difficulties of the electronics market today, and IEI’s continuing success despite the odds. With the article were: a picture of the SLED dental curing wand, and one of Jane and Onnig with the PTU unit that IEI makes for NASA’s Return to Flight program.

Astronaut Visits IEI
NASA Astronaut Michael Good visited Irvine Electronics on August 18th to meet the employees of IEI, who are supporting the Return to Space Program, as well as IEI customers, vendors, and their children, and members of the Irvine community, including Irvine Mayor Beth Krom.

Irvine Electronics Training Programs and Certifications
As part of Irvine Electronics’ commitment to excellence in service and quality, IEI is currently implementing training programs and certification for NASA-STD-8739.1, NASA-STD-8739.2, NASA-STD-8739.3, NASA-STD-8739.4, and NASA-STD-8739.7. These will certify operators in all areas of manufacturing and will put Irvine Electronics ahead in the contract manufacturing field. IEI has also implemented Quote FX, to better serve our customers.

Five Hundred DIRCM Units Completed
IEI recently had a visit from DRS, during which we received a commemoritive banner to recognize the delivery of 500 DIRCM units. The next 500 are in the works!

Seakr Engineering awards IEI for excellence in “Service and Can-Do Attitude”
Seakr Engineering, a high-end memory recorder designer and manufacturing company in Colorado, awarded IEI a plaque of recognition for excellence in "Service and Can-Do Attitude”. Irvine Electronics, Inc. has been building stack memory and high reliability circuit cards for Seakr Engineering since 2004.
