management is an essential part of our manufacturing services. Accordingly,
Irvine Electronics, Inc. has developed a strong materials organization staffed
with experienced professionals. Irvine Electronics takes the lead role in all
tactical materials management and enable our customer’s materials management
team to operate at a strategic level.
Irvine
Electronics, Inc. has developed a wide range of materials management solutions
to enable the success of each of our customers. The core of Irvine Electronics
materials planning is the Alliance MFG MRP system providing integrated
planning, purchasing, inventory and work order control. Additional solutions to
provide flexibility and responsiveness in our supply chain include forecast
sharing and bonding with Irvine Electronics’ primary suppliers and also the
utilization of in-house, two-bin replenishment and bread-man replenishment.
These relationships are primarily with Future, Avnet, and Arrow, which are also
key suppliers to many of our customers. Flexible solutions to customers
specifically avoid reliance on long-term inflexible purchase agreements.
Irvine
Electronics, Inc. works collaboratively with all customers using the customer’s
approved suppliers to get optimum pricing on materials. We will also work to
ensure that the suppliers that are aiding customer’s development efforts
continue to be supported.
Irvine
Electronics, Inc. understands the critical importance of effective cost
management to our customers and will ensure an ongoing routine focus on
periodic cost reduction. Irvine Electronics, Inc. will also leverage all
of IEI’s component procurement power, multi-million dollar credit lines, and
prompt payment history with Orange County’s component distribution community to
manage the availability of hard to find or obsolete parts and volatility of key
cost-drivers on customer assemblies.
