UTC Gold Supplier

Irvine, CA - Irvine Electronics is proud to announce that it has been selected to be a UTC Gold Supplier. Irvine Electronics was sponsored by Pratt and Whitney in its journey to Gold and to becoming a “world-class” supplier. At this time UTC is looking to narrow down its supplier base and select only one hundred key suppliers to manufacture parts and participate in future aerospace programs. The primary purpose of the UTC Supplier Gold program is to encourage suppliers to perform as efficiently as possible by engaging in LEAN manufacturing concepts. By engaging in LEAN concepts and participating in the Supplier Gold program Irvine Electronics has become a world-class supplier and delivers the highest quality of products on time to its customers. The program facilitates and accelerates performance improvements and also recognizes supplier excellence. According to Leon Veretto, Director of Operations Analysis at UTC Connecticut, the recognition program has two objectives. “One is to drive improvements in performance of suppliers of direct materials. The other is to recognize suppliers for delivery, quality and service performance through use of LEAN processes. Irvine Electronics is thrilled to be part of such and elite class of suppliers and plans on expanding on its capabilities and extending its services. In 2008 35 suppliers were certified or re-certified with Supplier Gold status. Irvine Electronics, Inc. is a small, woman owned electronics manufacturing service provider, specializing in turnkey assembly of printed circuit boards and complete box builds. Products range from a low complexity PCBA's to high end complete electronic box build assemblies. In December 2006 Irvine Electronics successfully became AS9100 certified for the aerospace industry.
